Apprehension and Surrender of Defendant 15% of the Bond's Value
Or stated Minimum
(whichever is greater)

"Paper Surrender" 10% of the Bond's Value
(When the Defendant is or has been incarcerated Or stated Minimum
since the bond forfeiture was issued.) (whichever is greater)

Minimum Rate for all Assignments $300.00

If we do not surrender your defendant, you pay nothing.°

Expenses may occur during travel outside of normal service areas. These expenses are billed on an "at cost" basis and may include gas, airfare, lodging, meals and other miscellaneous charges. However, CPI will never begin such an assignment without first consulting the client and obtaining approval. °Expenses will be billed whether or not an apprehension is made with client approval.


We need as much of the following information as possible:

Certified Copy of the Bail Bond
Certified Copy of the Warrant issued for the Surety's apprehension*
Authorization to Surrender Defendant*
Copy of the Bail Bond Application
Notice of Forfeiture of the Bail Bond
Photographs of the Defendant
Police Reports
Any other Court Docket, Complaint, and Information Forms
Any additional information that you might have gathered

* Indicates a required item, the case cannot proceed without them

Note: As of September 1999, Texas State Law has made it mandatory that the defendant be released to the custody of the county in which he or she is apprehended. Example: If John Doe is apprehended by a private investigator in Travis County for a Failure to Appear warrant issued by Bastrop County, he must then be surrendered to the Travis County Jail. There are no exceptions, as it may result in a felony conviction of a fugitive recovery investigator.
