Bail Enforcement Services
-
-
Several
Bail Bond Professionals are currently being sued for using
-
Bail
Enforcement Agents that were not properly licensed
-
by the
State of Texas.
-
-
One of them
has settled out of court with the defendant for an "undisclosed
amount," and forfeited their bond. While the other bonding
companies are undoubtedly facing similar situations, the agents
are currently facing state jail felony trials.
-
- DON'T BE NEXT!
-
-
Recently, the
State of Texas has mandated that the execution of an arrest
warrant on behalf of a surety on a bail bond, may only be
executed by a peace officer or a state licensed private
investigator. As a result, many Bondsman have found themselves
without competent professional agents in the field who are
qualified by the State of Texas. Consequently bondsmen are
experiencing devastating bond forfeitures, lawsuits, and
possible bankruptcy.

- Note: As of September 1999,
Texas State Law has made it mandatory that the defendant be
released to the custody of the county in which he or she is
apprehended. Example: If John Doe is apprehended by a
private investigator in
Travis County for a Failure to Appear warrant issued by Bastrop
County, he must then be surrendered to the Travis County Jail.
There are no exceptions, as it may result in a felony conviction
of a
fugitive recovery investigator.
